They operated, mostly in Scotland, from 1865 until 1965. This talk will explore the history of the company and their lasting impact on Scottish shops and tenements including retailers such as the Buttercup Dairy, Co-operatives and Liptons.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dr Lindsay Lennie is a Chartered Valuation Surveyor. She has a PhD in Building Conservation and has undertaken a Research Fellowship on the historic shops of Scotland.
